BEST OF EFATE - 30 Minute Flight

Leaving the airport we fly slowly over Port Vila city and its beautiful harbour. Have the camera ready to take aerial shots of Iririki and Ifra islands. Heading north, the next island you'll see is the beautiful Hideaway Island in Mele bay before viewing the coral reef coastline that leads to Devils Point. Maybe you have visited the Cascade Waterfalls at Mele? Seeing it from the air allows you to take in the entirety of this cascading river and the surrounding gorge. After a quick ascent over the escarpment we dive down into beautiful Havannah Harbour and soar along the western coast of Lelepa and Moso Islands for breathtaking views of some of the most pristine and colourful waters in the South Pacific. Tour 4WD Safari to Mt. Yasur Volcano with photo opportunities in local villages, along jungle roads and at the volcano's 'moonscape' ash plains. Upon arrival at the peak of the volcano, a short trek takes you up to the craters edge. Wonder at the power of nature as the earth erupts in displays of molten lava and earthshaking tremors.

Visit Tanna Coffee Plantation en route to Loanuiatu Waterfall for Lunch and a refreshing swim.

We leave Efate at 1.30pm and fly north to the renowned, eco-friendly Epi Guesthouse situated on a white sandy beach by a pristine lagoon where beautiful coral abounds and dugongs are frequently sighted. Local characters, Rob and Alex Crapper, personally prepare your evening meal using local meat and seafood and organically grown fruit and vegetables. AMBRYM VOLCANO - Morning Tea Safari

On the way to Ambrym we fly over the beautiful northern Efate Islands and the Shepherd Islands and pass by the active and scenic Lopevi volcano. We then soar to a height of 4,400 feet and fly over the two large cones, Benbow and Marum, and the 3 smaller active craters, located within the surreal 100 square kilometre Ambrym summit. This volcano is a jewel in the Pacific that is famous for the lava lakes that regularly appear in the summit craters. Bring the camera for amazing photos. On our return, we stop at the Epi Guesthouse for morning tea and a swim in a pristine coral lagoon.

Departing Efate we fly over pristine underwater environments and beautiful coral ringed islands before passing by the scenic an active Lopevi volcano. Further north we soar up to circumnavigate the two large cones, Benow and Marum, and the surreal landscape of the Ambrym volcano. The next highlight is the stunning, rugged east coast of Pentecostal Island.

Landing on the jewel that is Maewo Island, we set for the most remarkable swim in Maewo's uniquely beautiful cascading waterfalls. After this refreshing jungle swim, we fly over Santo's beautiful bays and offshore islands before landing on Santo for a leisurely, beach side lunch at the exclusive architect-designed resort, Moyan By the Sea.

After lunch, it is the panoramic east coast of Malekula Island that will take your breath away. We continue onto the renowned Epi Guesthouse where Epi's much loved resident, Rob and Alex Crapper, serve afernoon tea. Feel free to swim or snorkel off the private sandy beach in a pristine coral lagoon where dugongs are frequently sighted. Regretfully, say farewell and take in the vista of the Shepherd Islands and the Norhern Efate Islands on the flight home to Efate.
